Sarah is a product designer and venture builder with experience in fundraising and product-led growth for early tech startups. 2 months ago, Sarah left her comfortable job to go all-in on her own online business. In her first month she hit $10K/mo. In her second month she hit $30K/mo while traveling Europe. Here are the 5 pillars we built into her business to help her succeed:
Value Positioning
Sarah is the best at what she does. Hands down. But it wasn't always conveyed properly in her content and marketing. Sarah comes from a design background, and the problem was that many prospects just saw her as another "freelancer," reducing the value of her work. Since she had a wealth of experience in fundraising, we pitched her offer as a premium partner that would help fast track fundraising closes. We tweaked her positioning so prospects would see the value and start paying her the price that she's worth.
Increasing Conversions
All sales happen because of conversations. Conversions always happen in conversations. That's just how it works because trust is built when you engage with the prospect - especially in the digital age where people are distrusting of internet people. We tested a hands-off video sales letter. But it never worked as well as just talking directly to prospects. Conversations remove the need for a messy funnel or heavy nurturing. A lot of entrepreneurs try to "remove themselves from the process" right away. But it's much better to stay involved and talk to people. Because when you talk to more people you can make more offers. When you make more offers you make more money. We got Sarah into a position where she was talking to multiple new prospects every single week, skyrocketing lead generation and improving her close rate.
Content Systems
Conversations are a good place to start but you shouldn't end there. They're good for building trust 1-on-1. But that's not scalable. So you also need content to build trust at scale. This way - you turn into an authority. Not an "authority" like a police officer, but rather a voice of reason that people trust: a thought leader. When you build this trust via content, you don't notice it at first but suddenly people start to treat you with respect. It's the difference between people ghosting you, ignoring you, and constantly procrastinating on working with you. Instead, we nurture a warm, high-quality audience that is excited to work with you because they value your expertise. And that's only possible by putting out specific types of content to nurture prospects.
Audrey's been a great help for helping me on getting crystal clear my offer and get clarity on my positioning. Initially struggled with that, and she provided me lots of guidance on how to approach business from a strategic point of view + improving my process flow. Managed to hit 10-30k in my initial two months full-time after i left my job and have more clarity on how to approach things strategically. She helped me to fix the initial blockers I had with my business from a strategy and positioning angle and got all my business foundations set up. Beyond that, also on helping me to expand my vision and confidence in myself. Thanks Audrey!
We helped Sarah improve her brand, content, and sales, but I know that Sarah got here because she has skills the average person doesn't and determination that the average person doesn't. Sarah succeeded based on her own merit and hard work. Did I help? Yes. But it’s disingenuous to suggest she was successful solely because of me.
